What's the food like?
Delicious food is prepared for you throughout your GlampOut- hot, delectable; nutritious. We strive to offer fresh foods that are locally sourced whenever possible. We have plenty of fruits and vegetables, specialty meats, and vegetarian options at each meal! Check out our Sample Menu for an idea of what our meals are like!
What if I have dietary restrictions or allergies?
At GlampOut, we offer a variety of food at each meal, including vegetarian options. If you have dietary restrictions we’ll gladly work to accommodate you with adjusted menu items whenever possible. After registering for your course you’ll be sent a brief survey where you can specify any dietary needs you have and we will follow-up with you. If you have specific questions, feel free to email help@glampout.com
Is transportation included?
Check the course description for “What’s Included.” Most of our courses do include ground transportation, while some might have you meet us at camp in your own vehicle. For example, all of our New Mexico GlampOuts include roundtrip ground transport from the Albuquerque airport to camp and all activities, whereas our Rad Power Bikes Retreat in Washington has you meeting us at the GlampSite location to settle in for a weekend of fun on your e-bikes!
How hard will the activities be on this course?
Check your course description for details on specific activities. Most of our courses have light to moderate activities, such as hiking, beginner mountain biking, guided paddling, basic yoga, etc. GlampOut in not designed to be a “hardcore” backcountry expedition. We don’t want anyone to go to work on Monday with bruises, aches or pains! Just a refreshed and energized mind and body from quality outdoor time with your loved ones. We’ll send you a survey after you register to discuss any physical limitations you might have and ensure we make the best possible experience for you.
What should I bring?
By design, a GlampOut requires you to bring VERY little of your own stuff! After you register, we will send you a custom packing list with specific clothing to bring for your GlampOut, tailored to the activities and weather of that region. In general, sturdy shoes and comfortable "outdoorsy" clothing is most of what you'll need. Also, we find that most participants prefer to bring their own sleeping bag, but if you need to rent one, we've got you covered!
